The Chambers Fiscal Year begins on November 1st and concludes on October 31st. Each year our Annual Meeting Banquet marks this date.
The evening begins with a business meeting at 5 p.m. followed by cocktails at 5:30 p.m. A broasted chicken and sliced ham dinner is served promptly at 6:30 p.m. An entertaining dessert auction is held immediately following dinner. Local celebrity auctioneers “Mad Dog and Merrill” lead the fun. Multiple local businesses donate outstanding desserts and then attendees bid for a chance to win and enjoy one. The dessert auction leads into the program portion of the evening at 7:30 p.m.
During the program the outgoing and incoming board members are recognized as well as businesses that joined the Chamber in the last fiscal year. In addition, the focus for the new fiscal year is shared with time spent sharing the past year’s accomplishments. At the conclusion of the informational program, entertainment is provided that ranges from musical to comedy to interactive and everything in between.
Throughout the evening, attendees have the opportunity to participate in a 50/50 Raffle, a craft beer & wine draw, and silent auctions boasting fabulous prizes. All funds raised during the evening are utilized for a variety of Chamber funded educational offerings during the upcoming fiscal year.
The goal of this evening is for Chamber members to be recognized, to network with one another, and be entertained all while doing a small amount of fundraising.
The 86th Annual Meeting and Banquet is being held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Crystal Falls Banquets & Catering.
