The New London Fish & Game Club is a non-profit organization located on Old Highway 45 in New London. The club offers services to its members such as trap shooting, skeet shooting, a rifle / pistol range, and targets for bow practice. Membership for family is $25 and single is $15.
Trap leagues run through both the winter and the summer. Winter league starts in early January and runs through late March / early April where teams shoot two (2) rounds every other Sunday. Summer league starts early May and runs through late August where teams shoot on Tuesday evenings.
The club holds an annual Whopper Weekend fishing tournament in New London’s Riverside Park the third weekend in April, where trophies are awarded for the best catches and longest stringers. Local companies provide donated prizes which are raffled off on Sunday afternoon. Raffle tickets are sold in the months prior to the event as well as at the bar in the heated tent during the event. Bands start at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday evening.
The Club also raises pheasants for the annual pheasant shoot that takes place in the fall. Pheasant licenses are sold by the club and offers hunters a great opportunity to do what they love. Dogs are also welcome on these hunts.
