Ellis Visual Arts LLC – Inspiring Creativity & Community Through Art
Ellis Visual Arts LLC is a working art studio and creative workshop space located at 305 S Pearl Street in New London, WI, founded by husband-and-wife team Ashley and Steve Ellis. Rooted in a passion for the arts and a love of community, Ellis Visual Arts is dedicated to inspiring creativity, fostering connection, and making meaningful artistic experiences accessible to all.
Ashley Ellis has been creating and teaching professionally since 2009 and is an award-winning encaustic and mixed media artist whose work is held in public and private collections throughout the United States and Canada. Known for her warm, approachable teaching style and deep expertise, Ashley offers workshops in encaustic art (hot wax painting), acrylics, mixed media, 3D art, resin, alcohol inks, wood painting and scorching, glass etching, and occasional high-end DIY craft experiences that encourage creativity and exploration.
Steve Ellis, a U.S. Army veteran and trucker by trade, brings joy, enthusiasm, and years of warehouse and shipping logistics experience to the heart of the business. As co-owner, Steve plays an essential role in logistics, operations, and creating a welcoming, down-to-earth atmosphere for visitors and workshop guests alike.
Ellis Visual Arts offers a wide range of experiences including studio workshops, mobile classes, fundraisers, corporate events, retreats, and product demonstrations. Ashley also leads prayerful art experiences, blending Scripture, reflection, and creative practice to offer meaningful, faith-centered opportunities during seasons such as Advent, Lent, and Easter.
To support makers, Ellis Visual Arts provides a curated selection of specialty art materials, including encaustic supplies not typically found in retail stores, and serves as the North American distributor for JESIN and other products from MRS COLORBERRY.
Above all, Ellis Visual Arts is committed to building and supporting the local creative community, offering a welcoming space where people can explore, create, connect, and grow together through art.
