Mosquito Hill Nature Center – Backpacking Basics

Have you ever wanted to try backpacking or backpack camping but didn’t know where to begin? High school teacher and outdoor enthusiast, Tiffany Schulz, New London, will cover the basics on how to plan your own backpacking trip, as well as equipment and food. Participants will practice packing both internal and external frame backpacks and setting up a tent in addition to learning about traveling light and on a budget.
