Wolf River Art League – Revolving Gallery

THE REVOLVING GALLERY IS BACK AT A NEW LOCATION!
ART SHOW OPENING IS ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2023, 12:00 pm – 2 pm.
The Wolf River Art League is proud to partner with Mosquito Hill Nature Center in forming a Revolving Art Gallery! The gallery is positioned along the long hallway toward the Great Room and Library. Art displays are limited to Wolf River Art League members and will hang for approximately three months. At the beginning of the display, the Art League and Mosquito Hill will present a reception called the Art Reveal, whose purpose is to introduce the featured artist. There will be a short program emceed by a member of the Art League to describe the artist’s art background. The program will include live music and light refreshments.
As we enter into our 54th year as an art club, we have been able to expand into several areas in the New London community. Among them are over 70 fantastic murals painted by WRAL members, wooden birds and painted picnic tables requested by the Park & Rec Department, and many years of Art Scholarships for high school seniors entering an art-related field of study.
Our first Art Reveal for the Rotating Art Gallery at Mosquito Hill will be November 11, from Noon to 2pm, in the Library, and will include live music and refreshments! The first exhibit will run from early November 2023 to the end of January 2024, during the regular hours of Mosquito Hill Nature Center.
Instead of focusing on one artist, the first show will display the works of many members of the Art League. Some of the artwork will be for sale; those pieces will post prices, as well as contact information. Buyers will reach out directly to the artist to purchase.
We hope that the Rotating Art Gallery will be well received by patrons of Mosquito Hill Nature Center and that this will mark the beginning of a long-standing partnership.
