Backing Small Businesses Grant Program

In partnership with American Express, the Backing Small Businesses grant program supports economically vulnerable and under-resourced small businesses with community reach. This year, eligible small business owners can apply for $10,000 grants for projects that grow or improve their businesses by building community, supporting their economic viability, or bolstering meaningful change.
Applications will be accepted from 9:00 am CT on March 14, 2024, through 11:59 pm CT on April 7, 2024. The application period will end once 5,000 applications have been submitted, even if that occurs before the deadline.

March 12, 2024-New London- The New London Public Museum opens its new exhibit Art for Everyone; American Art Pottery 1890-1940. Discover more about three top American potteries: Rookwood, Fulper, and Van Briggle. This temporary exhibit is open March 11-May 31. Museum hours are 10-5 Mon.-Fri and 10-1 on Saturdays. Admission to the museum is free.

For the first time ever, the museum exhibits items from area collector Steve Dana. Explore the vibrant world of American art pottery. Where craftsmanship meets creativity. For decades, American artisans have transformed clay into captivating works of art. Discover unique forms, dazzling glazes, and innovative techniques that define this rich tradition. Each piece tells a story of artistic vision and skilled hands at work.

Enjoy exhibits about local history, Native American culture, and natural history, or discover even more using the resources in our research center. The museum located at 406 S.
