You may have noticed we have a new Facebook page name. Why the change? Our organization, the New London Heritage Historical Society, has two great historic sites in New London - the Historical Village and Thern Farm. This page will combine all the news, events, and updates for both sites in one place making it more convenient for everyone!
You may recognize this familiar face out and about in New London running for the Special Olympics Torch Runs, being in the schools as a prior School Resource Officer or seeing him lead our Explorers/Cadets Program. We would like to introduce him to you now as Assistant Chief of the NLPD. Officer Wilson has been with this community since 2001 and we are confident that he will guide our department with Chief Schlueter admirably! Congratulations on your promotion!

New London Middle School
1000 W. Washington St. New London, WI 54961
10K Start: 8:00 am
5K Start: 8:15 am
Join us for the Sturgeon Shuffle 2023! Presented by First State Bank, the Sturgeon Shuffle is a family-friendly 5K walk/run and a 10K competitive road run open to all levels of athletes. Named after the spring “sturgeon run”(spawning season), both events kick off from New London Middle School and are fully chip-timed (start and finish), taking participants on an out-and-back course on County Highway X along New London’s beautiful Wolf River.
Proceeds raised from the Shuffle will benefit backpack programs in our community and region including: Project Backpack New London, Project Backpack Waupaca (serving Waupaca, Manawa, Weyauwega-Fremont, Iola-Scandinavia, and Amherst school districts), and the Compassionate Connections Center Nutrition Mission in Clintonville. These organizations are working hard to stamp out hunger in our schools.
Join us in your journey to good health and know that your steps are helping to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities too!
