Wow, what an amazing night we had last Thursday at the Chamber Awards Banquet! We packed the house at Crystal Falls with 300 guests for the Kentucky Derby. Thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored or supported this event.

We are one month out on starting our plant sale (we open May 12th). These little beauties are coming along very nicely. At this point we will NOT be doing online pre-ordering. Our website is through Square and they are going to start charging on May 1st & frankly it is not worth it for us to pay for it at this time. I think I will end up re-routing our web address to this page on Facebook for now. I will try & get that done by May 1st. I will start adding the peppers on the site though, so you will be able to see what we will have available. I am going to try & get everything added this week so you all can look to see what we will have.

New London, Wisconsin – First State Bank president, Matthew R. Lemke, has been named chief executive officer (CEO) of the bank as of April 1. Lemke joined First State Bank as president and was elected to the bank’s board of directors in January.
Lemke began his banking career in 2004 at JP Morgan Chase in Appleton. He was senior branch manager at Associated Bank in Appleton from 2005 to 2010, and as director of retail/market manager for Baylake Bank’s Green Bay and Central Wisconsin branches from 2010 to 2016. Lemke joined Investors Community Bank in Manitowoc in 2016 where he served as senior vice president of banking services before his promotion to executive vice president – chief retail and deposit officer in 2021. Prior to coming to First State Bank, Lemke was executive vice president and chief operating officer at Bristol Morgan Bank in Oakfield.
