Women's Wellness Walk
Women’s Wellness Walk is dedicated to educating and empowering women to make good choices with their health and nutrition and creating a healthy balance for their life. We encourage attendees to relax and share the day with family and friends.
The event begins and ends at Familiar Grounds where health-based exhibitors lined the entire coffee shop to interact with guests. Attendees choose two activities to participate in and they walk between area businesses and organizations to both classes.
Activities to choose from:
1. Learn to “BEFAST” for National Stroke Awareness Month – location: 215 N. Shawano St. Municipal Building
May is National Stroke Awareness Month, a month in which to raise awareness about stroke risk factors and lessen the occurrence of stroke. It’s quite likely that you know someone who has suffered from a stroke in their life or know someone who may, so you could benefit from learning about the signs and symptoms to protect those you love and yourself. of a stroke.
2. Chalk Couture With Robin – location: 309 W. North Water St. Events Everlasting
Are you interested in making some beautiful crafts to decorate your home for a special occasion, or give to someone special as a gift? If you’re not sure where to start, this is the class for you. Create a canvas project with Robin a designer with Chalk Couture. You don’t have to be artistic, just be open-mined to trying something new. (Only 5 spots left!)
3. Healthy Crockpot & Meal Prep Ideas – location:110 W. North Water St. Longevity Nutrition.
After a long day of work or school, wouldn’t it be nice to find a healthy, delicious dinner ready and waiting? Well, thanks to the slow cooker, you’ll have exactly that. Meal prepping is not only convenient, it saves money, time and energy. Learn tips and tricks from Tracey from Longevity Nutrition about meal prep ideas and healthy options for crockpot meals.
4. Bungee Fitness – Lots of FUN – location: 865 Surprise Ending NXT Level Ultimate Sports Complex.
Bungee fitness is a high intensity, low impact workout that includes both cardio and strength training. The bungee helps minimize impact on joints making it ideal for all fitness levels. 5. Alleviate Stress with Three Deep Breaths – location: 406 S. Pearl St. New London Public Museum
Meditation is defined as a technique or practice of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts in order to achieve mental clarity and an emotionally calm & stable state. It’s a great method of reducing stress and anxiety to bring peace into your life for

6. Make & Take Welcome Sign - location: 310 W. North Water St. MK Flooring
