New London Area Chamber of Commerce

Frog 92.3

Join us for our Annual Meeting Banquet – Dessert Auction on Thursday, November 9th, 2023.
Business Meeting begins at 5:00pm.
Followed by cocktails at 5:30, with dinner served at 6:30pm.
Dessert Auction 7:30pm
The popular dessert auction is held immediately following dinner, with a local auctioneer leading the fun.  Multiple local businesses donate outstanding desserts and then attendees bid for a chance to win and enjoy one.
During the program the outgoing and incoming board members are recognized as well as businesses that joined the Chamber in the last fiscal year.  In addition, the focus for the new fiscal year is shared with time spent sharing the past year’s accomplishments.  At the conclusion of the informational program, entertainment is provided that ranges from musical to comedy to interactive and everything in between.
Throughout the evening, attendees have the opportunity to participate in a 50/50 Raffle, a craft beer & wine draw, and silent auctions boasting fabulous prizes.  All funds raised during the evening will be put back into the community through member advertisement, educational workshops and student scholarships.
The goal of this evening is for Chamber members to be recognized, to network with one another, and be entertained all while doing a small amount of fundraising.

Sponsorship Opportunities are below.

The New London Area Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to experience the magic of the season.

  • Download the 2023 Light Up New London Map to tour the Christmas lights throughout the area. All homes and businesses have been encouraged to get their decorations up by December 1st, 2023 for families to enjoy through the entire holiday season. Registration for Light Up New London will close December 1st, 2023. Find maps on our Facebook page.
  • Check out our Holiday Hop! Customers are encouraged to join in on a holiday scavenger hunt December 1st - 8th and visit local businesses and organizations who will host deals and activities.
  • Get lost in the Winter Wonderland Christmas Displays by Longevity Nutrition on December 1st, 2023 featuring a twisting trail of holiday bliss, twinkling lights and Christmas trees. Listen to the Christmas carolers while sipping hot cocoa.
  • The parade starts at 5 p.m. Line up will be in the Longevity Nutrition parking lot. The parade will start there on Pearl St. and turn left onto N. Water St. and then exit on Wisconsin St.
  • Visit with Santa and Mrs. Clause at Longevity Nutrition and grab a Santa Bag filled with goodies. Don’t forget to bring a letter for Santa if you wish and leave it in his Christmas mailbox. His elves have assured us that Santa will reply to every letter. Please ensure a return address is included.
  • After the parade if you don’t want to wait in line for Santa, walk across the lit Pearl St. bridge to join in the Reindeer Boogie at Familiar Grounds hosted by the Parks & Recreation Department.

City of New London

Downtown New London is still OPEN, and now more accessible!! Much of the utility replacement work for the downtown reconstruction project is wrapping up. Crews will be removing most of the heavy equipment and opening up barricades on North Water Street making it easier to drive through and allow for more on street parking in the downtown. The next phases will include pouring concrete on the sidewalks where new laterals were installed. The city’s contactor will also begin working on constructing the NEW AND EXPANDED parking lot along Lincoln Court providing additional and more convenient off street parking. Because of this the existing city parking lot at 210 Lincoln court will close starting on September 18th. Once the new parking lot is developed, crews will then work on installing the new water main on St. John’s Place from Park Street to North Water Street. By the end of September they plan on having that complete and the temporary layer of asphalt placed on North Water Street. In the beginning of October the contractor will work on removing and replacing curb, gutter, and sidewalk on State Street, Lincoln Court, St. John’s Place. Once the concrete is complete in those areas those three roads will be pulverized and paved with the new parking lot area. All of this work is anticipated to be done in late October. Come downtown and support our great local businesses!

We would once again like to thank everyone who participated in this challenge, we couldn't have done it with out you. We hope that those who donated will continue to donate with us in the future as we try to grow our efforts and further help those in need.
