New London Area Chamber of Commerce

This last weekend turned out way better than we planned or expected. The amount of support rallying behind us to take on this challenge was overwhelming from the City of New London, New London Parks and Recreation, New London Police Department, School District of New London, New London Lions Club, Wolf River Classic Chevy Club, Victory Church New London and the New London Utilities. A special thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers who made these events possible. Thank you for joining us at the Wheels on Werner Allen Car Show and Fall Fest. Academy Martial Arts

Come kick it with us at Academy Martial Arts! We offer Muay Thai, Karate, and Kickboxing classes with options for anyone over the age of 6 during the week. Reminder! The block of State St to Saint Johns Pl will be closed starting August 7th. We will update you as construction progresses on estimated length of closure!

Reminder that while construction keeps on keepin' on, you can utilize the following parking lots to access the downtown and support our local businesses!

- Grand Cinema Theatres

- 208 Wolf River Plaza.

- Public parking available on the NORTH side stalls only

(south side stalls are saved for Theatre patrons)

- Living Waters Assembly of God Church

- 401 W North Water St

- Open to public parking EXCEPT for during church activities at the following times:

- Wednesdays from 5:30pm-8:00pm

- Sundays 9:00am – Noon

- No overnight parking at either location, violators will be ticketed and towed.

In addition to these options, there are city public parking lots open as well including Lincoln Court!

As we continue our Downtown Revitalization Project, we wanted to thank our community members for your understanding! We know construction isn't always pretty, easy to navigate, or opportune.

Downtown businesses are still open with all that construction going on, so make sure you're supporting our local businesses during this time! Even if it's just grabbing a cup of coffee, shopping with a friend, or meeting a friend for taco Tuesday, your support means a lot to our small businesses.

Cline & Hanson Funeral Home Inc.

We had a grand total of 317 items donated. There were 158 canned food items, 103 rolls of paper towels, 18 other food items, 16 boxes of treats, 13 bottles of detergent, 9 toys, and several cash donations. We had items donated for dogs, cats, birds, and fish. The County with the most donations received was Outagamie County, with a grand total of 188 items donated.

Therefore, the Winner of the first County-Line Donation Challenge, and recipient of a check from Cline & Hanson for over $375 dollars, is the Fox Valley Humane Association!

Congratulations to them, but there are no losers in this challenge, The Waupaca Humane- Humane Society of Waupaca County will also be receiving 129 donated items!

We would like to thank all who donated to this great cause, as well as the wonderful businesses who helped us collect these donations.

P.S. Aspen was very excited to see all of the donations, but when she realized they weren't for her she wasn't quite as happy.
