Well, if you've been in downtown New London this past week you probably noticed we finally saw the last phase of asphalt being installed for the year on State Street, Lincoln Court, St. John's Place AND the new downtown parking lot! We're excite to see this new parking lot near Lincoln Court open, but want to let people know that the lot will be CLOSED on Monday, November 13th so the contractor can paint the parking stall lines in this new lot.
Hi Friends! There have been some rumors and hypotheses and speculations about the future of Crystal Falls recently. While changes will be happening, we are not going anywhere for the foreseeable future. Way back in 2019 we (the current owners) purchased the business and equipment and leased our space. We will continue to lease space at our current location. What is, most likely, happening is that the church will be taking over the west bar and small rooms that we currently use for dining in at our restaurant. We will still have the east bar, kitchen, and all of the Niagara banquet hall. We will move our restaurant dine in area to the east bar area and simply operate our restaurant in a different space. So please continue to support us so that we can stay in this beautiful community. We hope to see all of your smiling faces soon! Lots of Love ~Bailey, Sydni & Shawn

First State Bank's Holiday Giving Program Begins! Donations sought for area families in need.
New London, Wisconsin – Community members are again invited to support First State Bank’s Share the Joy Holiday Giving Program. For decades, First State Bank has partnered with community members and local organizations to collect and distribute toys and other gifts for local families in need. Gifts for toddlers and younger children through teenagers are needed.
Anyone who would like to help Share the Joy can stop by the bank’s New London, Clintonville, Manawa, or Waupaca offices to choose an ornament from the Giving Tree in the lobby. Participants then purchase a gift to fit the needs listed on the ornament tag. Return new, unwrapped gift(s) to First State Bank in New London by December 1 or by December 6 for Clintonville, Manawa, and Waupaca.
Gifts will be distributed to local families in need by Christmas for Kids in New London, the Goodfellows of Clintonville and Marion, the Manawa Food Pantry, and the Miracle Tree of Waupaca.
For more information about the how you can help Share the Joy, please contact your local First State Bank office, or call 1-800-994-2500.
October was Manufacturing Month in Wisconsin. Manufacturing is the biggest contributor to our state's economy, accounting for nearly 19% of Wisconsin's total economic output. The industry is also instrumental in employing about 1 in 6 Wisconsin workers. NLHS students currently in Welding and other Tech Ed classes had the opportunity to tour three manufacturing companies that are located in New London. The students first toured EJ Metals and learned about the unique apparatuses used to battle wildland fires and rescue. Next on the tour was a stop at Titan Conveyor where students learned about the design and building of custom conveyors that are used worldwide in the manufacturing industry. The final stop was at Steel King. The students learned how automation and the use of robotic welders has changed the manufacturing industry and has helped companies stay competitive in the manufacturing market. The New London High School students would like to thank the businesses for the opportunity to visit and learn about the manufacturing sector of our community.
Faces Visiting the Capitol – As part of the Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin’s Day at the Capitol, I met with the New London Utilities General Manager Jason Bessette. We had a great conversation about Assembly Bill 470, which is my energy legislation that will ensure reliable energy in Wisconsin and return decisions about Wisconsin's power grid to the state, not the federal government.
