New London, WI – First State Bank president and CEO, Matthew Lemke, recently announced the promotion of two executives.
Chief Credit Officer Lynn Olson has been promoted to executive vice president. Olson joined First State Bank’s management team in 2015 as vice president and chief credit officer and was promoted to senior vice president in 2017. She is responsible for the bank’s lending policies, credit quality, and risk management.
Chief Financial Officer Randy Zietlow has been promoted to executive vice president. Zietlow joined the bank as a senior vice president in 2019. In addition to overseeing the bank’s accounting, audit, treasury, and financial management, he has led projects related to the bank’s facilities including the current construction of the bank’s new corporate headquarters in New London.
Lemke, Olson, and Zietlow, along with Jeff Whitrock, executive vice president - chief market development & sales, and Jennifer Foote, executive vice president – chief operations officer, comprise First State Bank’s executive team.
New London, WI – First State Bank announced Jason Wery has joined the bank as senior vice president, consumer banking. He will lead the First State Bank’s consumer banking and mortgage loan business lines including its ten branch locations.
Wery began his banking career in 2011 at JP Morgan Chase Bank where he was a branch manager for its Green Bay Main and West, Allouez, and New Franken branches for seven years before transitioning to relationship manager-commercial banking in 2018. Wery joined Investors Community Bank in 2019 as banking services manager and mortgage loan originator. With the bank’s merger with Nicolet National Bank in 2021, he was promoted to vice president retail banking where he oversaw the sales efforts of Nicolet’s 56 branches. Most recently Wery served as senior vice president deposit services at Bristol Morgan Bank.
“Jason has a diverse skillset and experience that will benefit our branch teams in their efforts to help customers be successful and enjoy financial peace of mind,” said executive vice president, Jeff Whitrock.
“I am extremely excited to join the First State Bank team and continue to help make a difference in the communities we serve,” commented Wery.
Wery and his family reside in Green Bay. In his free time, he is an avid baseball fan and baseball coach for Green Bay Notre Dame Academy and the Future Tritons Baseball Club.

Mr Gruentzel's 3rd Hour Cabinetmaking class finished their big cabinet build in time for the end of the school year. The cabinets were for the New London Chamber Office conference room. These NLHS students had the opportunity to design, calculate materials, and present their bid to the Chamber for approval. The students worked hard to get them done in the last weeks of school and they turned out great. A special thanks to STEP worker Steve Gruentzel for coming in to help with the installation.
