Women’s Wellness Walk is dedicated to educating and empowering women to make good choices with their health and nutrition and creating a healthy balance for their life. Over 115 women participated this year. We encouraged attendees to relax and share the day with family and friends. The day was filled with laughter, education, inspiration, and most of all fun.
The event begins and ends at Familiar Grounds where health-based exhibitors lined the entire coffee shop to interact with guests. Attendees chose two activities to participate in and they walked between area businesses and organizations to both classes. Classes offered this year are below.
Ticket price includes: a welcome bag, light breakfast with mimosa, live music, exhibitors, choice of 2 activities, lunch, fashion show and door prizes! Contact the Chamber about purchasing tickets for Mother’s Day or for your group of friends and family.
Donate Life Month – Pause to Give Life Observance ThedaCare New London and Waupaca will join organizations across the nation to raise our Donate Life flag and Pause to Give Life.
This annual event honors organ and tissue donors and encourages others to join the donor registry.
Flags are raised at a specific time to recognize that 1 organ donor can save up to 8 lives.
The flag raising is followed by a 100 second moment of silence dedicated to the more than 100,000 patients who are still waiting to receive a lifesaving gift.
We encourage you to take a little time out of your day to Pause to Give Life and register to be an organ and tissue donor: www.donatelifewisconsin.org
