Join us for our Annual Meeting Banquet – Dessert Auction on Thursday, November 9th, 2023.
Business Meeting begins at 5:00pm.
Followed by cocktails at 5:30, with dinner served at 6:30pm.
Dessert Auction 7:30pm
The popular dessert auction is held immediately following dinner, with a local auctioneer leading the fun. Multiple local businesses donate outstanding desserts and then attendees bid for a chance to win and enjoy one.
During the program the outgoing and incoming board members are recognized as well as businesses that joined the Chamber in the last fiscal year. In addition, the focus for the new fiscal year is shared with time spent sharing the past year’s accomplishments. At the conclusion of the informational program, entertainment is provided that ranges from musical to comedy to interactive and everything in between.
Throughout the evening, attendees have the opportunity to participate in a 50/50 Raffle, a craft beer & wine draw, and silent auctions boasting fabulous prizes. All funds raised during the evening will be put back into the community through member advertisement, educational workshops and student scholarships.
The goal of this evening is for Chamber members to be recognized, to network with one another, and be entertained all while doing a small amount of fundraising.
Sponsorship Opportunities are below.

Downtown New London is still OPEN, and now more accessible!! Much of the utility replacement work for the downtown reconstruction project is wrapping up. Crews will be removing most of the heavy equipment and opening up barricades on North Water Street making it easier to drive through and allow for more on street parking in the downtown. The next phases will include pouring concrete on the sidewalks where new laterals were installed. The city’s contactor will also begin working on constructing the NEW AND EXPANDED parking lot along Lincoln Court providing additional and more convenient off street parking. Because of this the existing city parking lot at 210 Lincoln court will close starting on September 18th. Once the new parking lot is developed, crews will then work on installing the new water main on St. John’s Place from Park Street to North Water Street. By the end of September they plan on having that complete and the temporary layer of asphalt placed on North Water Street. In the beginning of October the contractor will work on removing and replacing curb, gutter, and sidewalk on State Street, Lincoln Court, St. John’s Place. Once the concrete is complete in those areas those three roads will be pulverized and paved with the new parking lot area. All of this work is anticipated to be done in late October. Come downtown and support our great local businesses!
Last week the Community Cupboard Food Pantry held an Open House and Ribbon Cutting to celebrate their new location. This beautifully updated space is located on the other side of the building in the Washington Center and now they have plenty of space for families in need to come shopping. With the help of many volunteers and the community, they have these awesome new shelves and tons of freezer space with the new walk in freezer. Please consider donating if you can as their shelves are pretty empty right now.
Thanksgiving is next month!! We here at the pantry are making plans to provide a Thanksgiving meal for our clients. We would appreciate donations of Stove Top dressing, instant mashed potatoes, turkey gravy and cranberries. You can drop off donations on Tuesday mornings 8am to 10am or on Wednesdays when we are open to the public: 8am to noon and again 4:30pm to 6 pm. Thank you for your support.

Griebenow Eyecare Announces Clinic Expansion Holds groundbreaking ceremony to announce construction project
New London, Wis.—Griebenow Eyecare held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the construction of a 2,410-square-foot addition to its New London, Wis. clinic. The expansion will add additional examination rooms along with additional diagnostic and treatment rooms and will add additional space to the clinic’s optical.
“We have always prided ourselves on providing personalized care that really allows us to provide each patient with the best vision and eye health possible,” says Dr. Craig Sylte, one of three optometrists at Griebenow Eyecare. “In the past several years, we have recognized the growing need for advanced eyecare treatments for eye health issues such as dry eyes, glaucoma, and myopia control. As we’ve expanded these services, we want to provide treatments in a space that allows for each patient to have the best individualized care possible. Expanding our clinic space makes it possible for us to continue to offer cutting-edge treatments to our community close to home.”
The addition to the clinic will also allow Dr. Chris Lopez, Griebenow Eyecare’s newest doctor, to expand his clinic offerings at the New London clinic. Dr. Lopez joined Dr. Molly Benck and Dr. Craig Sylte at Griebenow Eyecare in 2022, after practicing optometry in a multitude of clinics across the country, and currently practices primarily in Griebenow Eyecare’s Clintonville clinic. Once the new construction is complete, Dr. Lopez will continue to see patients in the Clintonville clinic but will expand his patient care hours in New London.
The clinic construction project will take approximately six months to complete. MJI Building Services is the contractor for the project and knows how important community is to Griebenow Eyecare and the MJI Building Services team worked hard to ensure the project was New London-based through and through. Many of the professional trades needed for the construction project are local to New London and the surrounding communities.
“Griebenow Eyecare has been a part of the community since 1979 and we are so grateful for all the local support given to our business over the years,” says Sylte. “Working with so many local businesses on this project is a way to show how proud we are to be part of the community and work with the many talented professionals and outstanding businesses close to home.”

***SCAM*** This morning we received a phone call from a local resident that told us there is an individual that is going around the Northport / New London area saying that they are with Mid-State Asphalt. They are trying to sell sealcoating and crackfilling of your driveway. This is a service that we do not offer. What we have been told is that they are driving a white pickup truck and have a strong southern accent. Please be aware, and if you do need these services we can provide local reputable companies contact information.
