The restaurant started in 2008 behind a grocery store, now known as La Costenita Super Market. We started with selling tamales. They were a huge hit! Soon after carnitas, barbocoa, and chicharron tacos were added to the menu. Which added even more popularity. By 2010  we had a full menu. Since than the grocery store and restaurant continued to grow. In 2022, responding to the community’s strong support and many requests, we expanded! La Costenita Super Market moved to a new and larger location at 200 W. North Water St. in New London, WI.

The small restaurant that was once tucked in the back of the original store is no longer small — it has evolved into its own full-service establishment, now called Taqueria Luciano, located at its original home at 214 W. North Water St., New London, WI. Taqueria Luciano now features a tequila bar along with a wide variety of other alcoholic options.

Our casual dining space includes a large table that seats up to 20 people, a pool table, and a jukebox. We also feature live music for an energetic and welcoming atmosphere. Taqueria Luciano is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 11 PM, and on two weekends each month, we stay open until 3 or 4 AM — serving food only after 2:30 AM.

We offer dine-in, takeout, catering for both small and large events, DoorDash delivery, and even a food cart available for all types of occasions.
