First Congregational United Church of Christ
I am writing to you concerning a sponsorship opportunity with First Congregational UCC New London Spirit Bells. Our ensemble has been asked to perform at the Festival of Three in the Baltics next year. We are one of the three ensembles from the United States that have been extended this invitation and cannot wait to represent our country at this event. Having been the only handbell ensemble makes this all the more special for our ringers, and the community of New London at large. While at the Festival of Three, we will be joining Grammy-award winning ensembles from the Baltic states in a series of concerts. The last of these concerts will see us world premiering a piece of music being commissioned for us by famous Estonian composer Part Uusberg.
As I mentioned before, being from a small town makes this experience especially invigorating, as it truly is a chance for us to show what towns like New London can offer. However, it is also a daunting undertaking, as many of our members may be unable to join due to financial limitations. Our mission is to ensure that these financial concerns do not inhibit our ringers from taking part in this once in a lifetime opportunity. As such, we are reaching out to businesses like yours asking for help. In order to ensure that all of our New London ringers can attend, the amount we are looking to raise will currently total $35,000. We simply would not be able to do that work without organizations like yours, and this is why I am reaching out.

Fox Cities Composite Squadron - Civil Air Patrol
Pilots are still in high demand!! Youth ages 16-18, including Civil Air Patrol cadets, who are interested in flying can earn up to 15 flight hours and a chance to solo through U.S. Air Force Recruiting's Aim High Flight Academy program by AFRS Detachment 1. It’s a free, 3-week introductory program being held around the country next summer designed to teach and inspire future aviators. It includes one-on-one training from Air Force pilots and classroom instruction. Applications are due by Nov. 30. Click HERE for more information.
