Fox Valley Workforce Development Board - Youth Employment Program

The individuals enrolled in the program – youth ages 14-24 – come from a wide variety of backgrounds but currently lack work skills that will be vital in the economy now and in the future. These paid work experiences, under the supervision of an employer and the coaching of a Work Experience Career Planner, are designed to help young people explore careers, develop skills, and gain work maturity. These experiences are tailored to the participant's long-term goals and can be supplemented with other support services like job readiness training or counseling.
The program is open to private, non-profit, and public sector employers. Interested businesses and interested enrollees, ages 14-24, can contact Lea Keesler, Work Experience Director, via phone or text at (920) 886-7107 or lkeesler@fsc-corp.org to learn more.

First of all the are shutting down the heat on the greenhouses this weekend. So get your fresh produce while you can. We actually still have a pretty decent variety out there.

Lettuce, celery, beets, carrots, snacking cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, ground cherries, sweet potatoes, parsley (we will add oregano soon) & some kale. Spinach will be out later today yet.

We also have shelves full of amazing canned & freeze dried farm goods as well.

Now on to the EXCITING news!

We decided that we will be leaving self-serve open through the holidays! With the closing date of January 1st. You will have access to canned, freezed dried & weekly bakery! We will have produce out as long as we have it. I will keep you all up to date on when things are running out.

I am going to try & put up a weekly menu & you can pre-order as well anything on the menus.

As of November 1st hours will be self-serve only 8 am - 5 pm 7 days a week.

There will be no full store hours EXCEPT when we have a special event. Those are listed under events on this page.

Today we added a new bread I thought I would try, tomato garlic herb. It has freeze dried tomato sauce swirled in it along with the garlic herb mix. I'm thinking grilled cheese & tomato soup. Yummy.

We are seeking a generous donation of a 16 to 20 foot evergreen tree to grace our sanctuary this coming Christmas season. Your donation will play a central role in beautifying our church as we prepare to celebrate the joyous birth of our Savior.

We are not particular about the tree species, simply hoping for a healthy and well-formed tree that will stand proudly in our worship space.

We ask that the tree be cut on Monday, December 1st. We request that the donor be prepared to cut, transport, and deliver the tree on or around this date. All arrangements for the logistics of the delivery must be coordinated beforehand through the church office.
