We are so excited to share our new event with you! This exciting new experience will take place on the first Friday in June to kickoff summer in the heart of downtown New London! This vibrant event will feature an unforgettable Night Market where local vendors showcase unique goods and crafts. Bistro lights will light up downtown with the perfect ambiance. Savor delicious bites from food trucks, enjoy live music from talented artists, and let the kids have a blast in the Kids Zone filled with fun activities. This will be the perfect way to start your summer adventures.
For those 21 and over, check out the beer gardens that will offer a relaxing atmosphere to unwind with friends. Whether you’re here to shop, eat, or just enjoy the lively downtown ambiance, Summer Kickoff Bash promises something for everyone. Make sure to stop in at our local shops and restaurants while you’re in town. Join us in New London for a night of fun, community, and celebration because summer is finally HERE!
BAND DETAILS: The People Brothers Band will play from 6-10 p.m. right on North Water St. The People Brothers Band’s unique brand of rhythm and soul features some of the most talented vocalists and musicians in the region. The vibrant group of longtime friends, collaborators, and multi-dimensional artists formed in 2008 as an open mic songwriting outfit and hasn’t looked back since. The band has cultivated a captivating musical alchemy through collective dedication to their craft, the Midwest music community, and each other. The People Brothers Band is united by their shared vision of uplifting friends and fans through music.
VENDORS: Vendor applications for June 6th, 2025 are open. This event will feature craft, art, sponsor and food vendors only. Chamber Member businesses on North Water St., please contact the Chamber directly if you are interested in participating in this event. We do not accept Direct Sales, Multi-level Marketing or Service providers. Participation in this event is limited. Make sure to check out our Fall Fest event too. We have room for 300 vendors for Fall Fest.
Sponsorships are now open. Proceeds from this event will support a new venture that involves the City of New London, the Chamber of Commerce and our local School District. Our three entities have decided to work together to hire a grant writer. By hiring a grant writer together, the city, chamber, and school district can leverage each other’s strengths and resources, opening doors to larger, more impactful opportunities that benefit the entire community.
Purpose of event. We outgrew our space for Fall Fest and the Wheels on Werner Car Show. Those events will still take place the Second Friday and Saturday in September on Werner Allen. Understanding the impact this has on our downtown area businesses that have benefited from these events for 26 years was important to the Chamber so we created a new event that we know will drive traffic into downtown. We will also be featuring a swag bag at Fall Fest that will be given out to attendees at the Chamber tent. Any Chamber member business or organization is welcome to add coupons, promotions, or event items to this bag at no cost. For more details on this, please contact the Chamber directly.
