A message from Public Works:
Oshkosh Street construction will begin on March 3rd. The street will be closed to thru traffic from Pershing Street to Wolf River Avenue. Barricades will be placed and inlet protection will be installed. For the first couple weeks the main work area will be on the north end at Oshkosh and Wolf River Avenue. Expect there to be closures of Wolf River Avenue at a couple different dates for utility work in the roadway. Washington Street intersection will remain open for school traffic until the beginning of June. More updates will be provided as work progresses.

SDNL ACTIVITIES/ATHLETICS WEEKY UPDATE (March 3-8): It was an exciting three days of state wrestling. Hailie Krueger placed 3rd, and she finished her high school career with an overall record of 132-3 and three state titles. William Christopher placed 6th and had a season record of 45-11. Preston Krueger placed 3rd and finished with a season record of 43-9. Congratulations on a successful season.
The regional solo/ensemble event at Seymour High School on Saturday was a successful day for our band and choir students. Many students and ensembles received a Star First and will advance onto the state solo/ensemble competition May 3 at UW Green Bay.

The high school state bowling competition takes place this weekend. The individual girls tournament is Friday at Rev's in Oshkosh. Paige Walbruck and Danielle Tank will be competing. On Saturday, the team boys and team girls events will take place. Brayden Dorsey, Hudson Lubinski, Trevin Muskevitsch, Keenan Kryszak, and Jace Young, along with alternates Weston Harvey and Sam Stillwell will be competing at Rolling Thunder Lanes in Neenah. Wolf River Community Bank Launches New Scholarship Opportunity for 2025 Graduating High School Seniors

Greenville, WI (February 12, 2025): Wolf River Community Bank is excited to announce a new scholarship opportunity for local graduating high school seniors. As part of its commitment to education and community enrichment, the bank will award multiple $1,500 scholarships to students in the communities it serves, with a special emphasis on those who demonstrate a strong dedication to community service.

Wolf River Community Bank scholarships will be awarded to seniors from the following area high schools:

  • Hortonville High School
  • New London High School
  • Shiocton High School

Applicants must be graduating in 2025 with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, have completed at least 20 hours of community service, and be planning to pursue a degree in business or finance at an accredited university, college, or technical school. Selection will be based on academic achievement, community involvement, work experience, extracurricular participation, and a thoughtful essay highlighting why the applicant is a strong candidate for the scholarship.
